Setting Intentions for the New Year
While everyone is setting New Year’s resolutions, it may be better to set our intentions. Remember that the subconscious mind does not understand the word “no.” It only understands the image you give it. Resolutions give us a mental image of what it is that we do not want. Even though we may say, “I want to lose weight,” the image we get is of us at our current weight or an image of us weighing too much. Instead, think of what it is that you want. Get that image in your mind and set your intention accordingly. In this case, our intention may sound like this, “I intend to nurture myself so that I look and feel my absolute best.” Here’s to a fabulous New Year! Blessings to you.
